During the measurements, we perform a complete soundscape measurement by placing microphones at different locations in the house. To get the most realistic picture, representative of the current situation, we align our visit for the measurements with the runway usage and flight path of Schiphol airport.
In addition to the soundscape measurements, we also perform a sound leak measurement using a so-called acoustic camera. This allows us to compare the sound transmission through the glass with that of a wall.
Over the coming months, we will carry out these measurements at several homes around Schiphol and collect a diverse range of data. These measurements aim to identify key parameters that lead to noise annoyance, and customize the DeNoize technology to target these key parameters and tailor our solution to the needs and expectations of the residents.
